What does a successful Vice President, External Communicationsdo at Fiserv?

The Vice President, External Communications will be at the forefront of elevating the Fiserv brand. This dynamic leader will play a pivotal role in supporting our growth and safeguarding our reputation with compelling narratives and strategies to engage external stakeholders and build positive perceptions of our brand. Your voice and expertise will resonate worldwide.

What you will do:

• Serve as a strategic advisor on external communications, media relations and brand reputation management to the Head of Communications, CMO and Fiserv Management team.
• Develop and execute strategic communications planning – proactively working across all aspects of our business to identify and shape external opportunities to build positive brand perceptions during key enterprise moments.
• Deliver external communications plans and messaging to position Fiserv’s management team as thought leaders and equip our communications teams to amplify the company's success while mitigating any reputational risk.
• Lead crisis communication planning, training and response efforts, ensuring timely and accurate information dissemination.
• Serve as a company spokesperson and lead for media interactions.
• Manage our strategic agency partnerships – ensuring that all external communications leaders have the proper support to deliver on our strategic priorities.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the external communications team, ensuring that all members are equipped to deliver high-quality work.
• Monitors and manages the Company’s reputation across all media channels, including social media, ensuring a consistent and positive public image. Oversees the management of public inquiries, responses, and any potential issues that could affect the Company’s reputation.

What you will need to have:

• Bachelor's degree in communications, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field
• 12 years of an equivalent combination of educational background, communications experience, and/or military experience
• 7+ years' experience managing a team
• B2C Marketing experience
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time and work weekends/evenings, as necessary

What would be great to have:

• MBA or master's degree
• International experience

Salary Range

These pay ranges apply to employees in New York and California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
