What does a successful Software Developer - Production Support do at Fiserv?

As a Software Developer - Production Support at Finxact, you will play a critical role in providing technical support to clients, partners, and internal team members for the Finxact Core as a Service (CaaS) platform. Your primary responsibilities will include analyzing, triaging, and resolving software application issues for implementing and production clients. This role offers the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of cloud-based SaaS technologies in the financial services industry.

What you will do:

• Correct software application issues for the Finxact CaaS platform using Software Development Lifecycle best practices
• Analyze data and errors via SQL and REST JSON, log analysis using elastic search, event, and HTTP request consumption monitoring
• Debug code and perform coding corrections, implement minor enhancements, and submit and review merge requests
• Document root cause analysis and explain technical problems and resolutions functionally
• Add automated unit tests and regression tests to improve code coverage
• Participate in the Change Management process by assisting in source code branch management and conducting regular merge checks

What you will need to have:

• 4+ years of professional software development programming experience with object-oriented languages
• 4+ years of experience designing and implementing RESTful services
• 4+ years of experience in data and error research via SQL and REST JSON
• 4+ years of experience debugging code and performing log analysis using elastic search
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, and/or equivalent military experience

What would be great to have:

• 4+ years of experience in the banking or financial services software industry
• 4+ years of experience supporting production software for live clients
• Golang programming experience
• Experience with tools and utilities such as Atlassian, Jira, Confluence, Git SCM, Postman, JSON, PostgreSQL, Elastic Search (Kibana), Docker, S3, RabbitMQ or other producer consumer queue management tools
