What does a successful Senior Cloud Site reliability Engineer do at Fiserv?

As a Senior Cloud Site Reliability Engineer, you will build and optimize our core services within the AWS Cloud ecosystem while ensuring system reliability and resolving issues that impact service delivery for top-tier digital consumer products. Your analytical and troubleshooting skills we be pivotal in providing project participation, maintaining support continuity, and handling on-call escalations in a dynamic and challenging environment.

What you will do:

• Provide hands-on support for existing environments, including software installation, patch installation, upgrades, query writing, system monitoring, and disaster recovery planning
• Manage and upgrade Amazon EKS clusters and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for provisioning, configuring, and scaling cloud infrastructure
• Implement tools and automation for build, configuration management, continuous integration (CI), deployment, and application monitoring
• Resolve technical issues during incidents and outages, and collaborate with Engineering on KPI implementation, and performance enhancements
• Participate in capacity planning, tuning systems stability, and ensuring quick and non-impacting issue resolution in a 24x7 environment

What you will need to have:

• 7+ years of experience with AWS tech stack, including Elastik Kubernetes, ElastiCache, KMS, VPC, Subnets, Route Tables, Security Groups, Flow Logs, EC2, AutoScaling, Load Balancers, SQL, RDS, Dynamo, PostgreSQL, IAM, S3, CloudWatch, and CloudFront
• 5+ years of experience working with Infrastructure Code tools like Terraform or AWS, CloudFormation
• 4+ years of experience collaborating with third-party vendors
• Current Fiserv systems experience
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience

What would be great to have:

• 3+ years of experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Podman
• 3+ years of experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery tools like AWS CodePipeline or Azure DevOps
• 3+ years of experience in Linux system administration, including managing and troubleshooting systems, bash scripting, and configuring webservers like Nginx or Apache
• 2+ years of experience working in an Agile development environment and utilizing collaboration platforms such as JIRA, Confluence, or ServiceNow
