Project Management - Risk Solutions, Sr Advisor

What does a great Sr Advisor of Product Management do?

In this role, you will be aligned with specific product families within Fiserv, most prominently Merchant Risk Vigilance and Merchant Risk Diligence, our client-facing risk monitoring and underwriting solutions respectively.  You will assist in managing the development, improvement, and commercialization of these risk tools, as well as additional products as the suite continues to grow.

As a key member of the product team, you will be responsible for managing these tools throughout their lifecycle, ensuring alignment with business goals, customer needs, and market opportunities.  This role requires a strong blend of strategic thinking, technical expertise, and project management skills to ensure the successful delivery and adoption of these tools across our Merchant Solutions organization.  The Sr Advisor will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, data science, sales, and risk to ensure our products are competitive, scalable, and add significant value to our clients.   

The role includes: 

  • Defining and refining the vision and roadmap for Diligence and Vigilance in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Translating high-level business goals into actionable product requirements and features
  • Leading workstreams, setting and enforcing expectations with a strong attention to detail, and driving urgency across stakeholders.
  • Supporting client risk teams to help them understand the products and changes to the products
  • Driving complex, high visibility product issues and escalations to resolution, partnering with product owners, development & operational teams, and senior leadership as appropriate
  • Building strong partnerships with clients and internal product and operational teams to ensure smooth execution and delivery of product needs and value add services.
  • Becoming a subject matter expert in the risk products, our clients’ needs, and the industries that we serve
  • Facilitate small group sessions as needed to educate channel sales teams

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 8+ years of experience in card payments and/or fraud solutions
  • Experience in a payment processor environment highly desirable.
  • Experience in product management / project management / business system analyst experience in the card payment or processor industry from business requirements gathering through launch.
  • Practical knowledge of technology used to support payment card products and services.

  • Uses strong analytical skills to solve diverse problems and make decisions
  • Ability to influence people at multiple levels
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong, productive working relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers
  • Professional presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and the client’s organization
