What does a successful Sr Web Engineer at Fiserv do?

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior React and Next.js Web Application Developer to join our team. You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance web applications using React and Next.js. Your expertise in front-end technologies and your ability to deliver exceptional user experiences will be vital to our success.

What you will do:

• Lead the design and development of robust and scalable web applications using React and Next.js.

• Contribute to the overall architecture of our front-end applications and ensure the adoption of best practices.

• Optimize application performance for fast loading times and smooth user interactions.

• Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.
  Work closely with designers, product managers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality products.
  Mentor junior developers, share knowledge, and promote best practices within the team.
  Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies to ensure application quality and stability.

What you will need to have:

• 5+ years of experience in front-end development with a strong focus on React and Next.js.

• Proficiency with JavaScript, including ES6+ syntax and modern development patterns.

• Experience with and understanding of Next.js concepts, including server-side rendering, static site generation, and routing.

• Experience with state management libraries like Redux or Zustand.

• Proficient in writing unit and integration tests using Jest or other testing frameworks.

• Experience with techniques for optimizing web application performance.

What would be nice to have:

• Experience with TypeScript.

• Familiarity with GraphQL.

• Understanding of UI/UX design principles.

• Active participation in the open-source community.
