Senior Director, Events EnablementWhat does a successful Senior Director, Events Enablement do at Fiserv? As a Senior Director, Events Enablement at Fiserv, you will lead and innovate the project management, strategic planning, processes, execution and full-cycle reporting of event programs, ensuring they align with overall company goals, enhance client engagement, brand awareness, and support sales growth. You will work closely with the Senior Vice President, Head of Events, to create a process-driven approach that delivers world-class events, trade show presence, summits, client engagement, hospitality programs, brand experiences, and sponsorship activations. This role is perfect for a candidate with exceptional project management skills, process-driven acumen, strategic thinking, meticulous planning, budgeting and operational excellence with a knack for connecting teams and driving outcomes across B2B and B2C events, marketing initiatives and diverse teams.
What you will do:
- Collaborate with Events leadership to develop and drive strategic initiatives and alignment through thoughtful planning, internal/external stakeholder engagement, and project management rigor.
- Shape and drive annual event programs, launches, and strategic initiatives, facilitating complex cross-functional alignment through meticulous planning and proactive thinking.
- Manage leadership, operational, and change communications to keep event and marketing teams informed on critical updates and decisions.
- Develop dashboards, post-event analysis, and reports in partnership with the Marketing Analytics, Social Media, and Sponsorship teams to demonstrate value and optimize performance.
- Support the Events meeting cadence to ensure continuous planning, collaboration, and delivery on critical milestones while documenting and driving action items.
- Drive continuous improvement activities to enhance event communication processes and tools for optimal results.
- Plan and direct administrative, financial, and operational activities for the events team, including meetings, onboarding, strategic initiatives, and training and development.
- Continuously evaluate and improve processes to enhance event scalability, efficiency and effectiveness.
What you will need to have:
- 8+ years of experience in a leadership role, managing direct reports and teams.
- 5+ years of experience in budget management.
- 5+ years of experience in project management and planning.
- 5+ years of experience in event and/or trade show planning and execution.
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience
- Ability to travel approximately 15% of the time, including some weekends.
What would be great to have:
- 5+ years of experience in agency and vendor management.
- Certification in Event Management and/or Project Management.
- Experience as a Chief of Staff or a proven leader in Marketing, Project Management, Events Operations, or complex Events Management in a global or matrixed organization.
- Knowledge of tools like Slack, Teams, Miro, Workfront, Asana, Monday.com, Jira, Wrike, etc.
- Master’s degree
