Director, Software Development IIWhat does a successful Director, Software Development do?
You will be responsible for design, development, and maintenance of Fraud data exchange within DCS with the help of niche developers. The Fraud data exchange is built leveraging Fiserv data factory, a horizontal petabyte scale data lake that serves data via batch and API architecture. You will partner with technology leaders to ensure data sources for Fraud Data Exchange and any dependencies to serve Fraud signals and Fraud products are prioritized and delivered on Data Factory architecture.
What you will do:
- Build and lead Fraud Data Exchange leveraging NoSQL, Spring boot, Docker, Kubernetes architecture and leveraging Java, Spark, Kafka and MPP systems
- Lead teams in cloud architecture across compute, network, and storage to deliver high quality products and build and grow the team of application developers, mentor and produce high quality engineering output across multiple product lines
- Set the vision and direction for Fraud risk exchange to deliver best in class Fraud solutions to our external and internal customers
- Develop and implement technology plan, resource plans aligning with DCS Fraud, DCS Technology and overall DCS Strategy
- Lead prioritization discussions working with product managers in an agile manner
- Lead the team to create a product engineering culture in Data and Analytics organization and build with security in mind (authentication, authorization, encryption, digital signature), SSL, web service proxies, firewalls, multi-protocol gateways
What you will need to have:
- 15+ years of experience from application and product development to tech lead and architect, building a large data exchange in Fraud
- 10+ years’ experience in building Fraud solutions leveraging identity and transactional behaviors, deploying attributes and models for real time and batch customers
- 5+ years’ experience in implementing low latency (<100ms) on a large volume time series transactions processing applications
- 5+ years’ experience in SDLC, DevOps, and continuous delivery/continuous deployment within a large-scale organization desired
- 5+ years’ experience in implementing complex full stack solutions including big data marts, and micro-services in large Enterprise organizations
- 3+ years’ experience leveraging object-oriented design patterns, domain driven design principals, test driven development and enterprise architecture frameworks
- 3+ years’ experience leading teams to ensure quality through automation end to end, create operational framework with tools necessary to instrument and monitor production systems for support
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience
Salary Range
$132,000.00 - $231,100.00These pay ranges apply to employees in the District of Columbia. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
